Although the initial buzz has died down, Periscope is still alive and well – with many brands still using it to promote their business.

After all, the live video streaming app is owned by Twitter, which has a massive user base of its own.

So if you’re looking to tap into the Twitter crowd with some creative visual content, here are a few ideas to get you started!

1. Use it to send a specific message about your brand.

Whether your message is a positive one (Hey, we have a sale on!) or making things right after a disaster (We’re sorry our last post may have upset our audience), telling your audience the news through a live video stream is the perfect way to show you’re present in the company and care about their custom – and their feelings.

It adds a sense of dedicated customer service that prevents you from looking like a ‘faceless’ corporation.

2. Create a visual support line.

If you think some of your audience may have some questions about a product, there’s no better way to help them out than through video!

Open up your stream and allow your audience to ask you their questions, providing help, support and guidance for each one.

They’ll appreciate the effort you’ve gone through to answer their question thoroughly and effectively, no matter how simple the solution was.

3. Always remember to be yourself – you’ll develop a relationship between your brand and consumers.

The more personality you put into your brand, the more relatable you’ll seem to your audience – subsequently building a better, stronger connection.

Once the connection has been made, the customer will be more likely to remain loyal to you over a longer period. Without personality, it’s easier for them to walk away.

If you throw out questions like ‘What do you like about our brand?’, ‘Which is your favourite product?’ or ‘What would you like to see from us?’ you’ll be able to get a clearer idea of what your audience is looking for.
